When you try to do any modifications on your sharepoint site such as uploading or editing a file or adding users and creating pages and you have Quota enabled for your sites you might get this error:
Error Message: Your changes could not be saved because this SharePoint Web site has exceeded the storage quota limit. You must save your work to another location. Contact your administrator to change the quota limits for the Web site.
Solution:
From the error message you know that the storage limit has been exceeded, you can check the space from “ Site Actions > Site Settings > Storage Space Allocation “
If the storage limit is maximum, the you can do 1 of the below things:
1- Either increase the site storage limit for the site Quota from Central Admin Site and re-run the command
2- Download some data from your site to your local hard disk and delete them from the library to free some space
Run the command again (it should succeed)
Re-upload the files
